1-Year Health Guarantee - Essence of Grace Yorkies
State of Health: Short-Term Health Warranty
The puppy/dog has been examined by a licensed veterinarian and found to be in good health at that time. It has received the immunizations listed in the health records provided to the Buyer.
The Buyer must have the puppy/dog examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours (3 days) of receiving it. If, during this period, a licensed veterinarian finds the puppy/dog to be unhealthy or unfit for sale, it may be returned to the Seller for a full refund. The veterinarian's written statement deeming the puppy/dog “unfit for purchase” must be sent to the Seller within 48 hours of the examination.
This guarantee excludes any health issues caused by the Buyer’s ill-treatment, abuse, or neglect; any health issues resulting from transportation from Seller to Buyer; and minor illnesses such as upper respiratory infections, kennel cough, eye infections, ear infections, and others listed above.
Genetic conditions not covered include inguinal hernias, umbilical hernias, retained testicles, and cherry eyes, as these are common and can be corrected during spaying or neutering.
Important: The puppy has been dewormed prior to sale, but due to environmental factors, the Seller cannot guarantee it will be free from parasites/bacteria. The Buyer should present a fecal specimen to their vet to determine any further treatment needs. Once the puppy leaves the Seller's possession, the Seller will not be liable for any of the aforementioned conditions. The Seller shall NOT reimburse any veterinary or other expenses incurred by the Buyer. If the Buyer chooses not to have the puppy checked by a vet, this warranty will be void.
Long-Term Health Warranty
The Seller provides a 1-year warranty from the puppy/dog’s date of birth against debilitating congenital conditions such as Congenital Heart defects, Hydrocephalus, Portosystemic Shunt (Liver Shunt), and lung or kidney issues. This does not cover conditions common in the breed, like luxating patella, Legg-Calvé-Perthes, and collapsed trachea.
If symptoms of a covered condition appear, the Buyer must immediately inform the Seller and provide veterinary records. The Seller has the right to have the puppy/dog examined by a veterinarian of their choosing. If diagnosed with a covered condition, the Buyer may keep the puppy/dog and receive reimbursement up to the purchase price.
In the event of death, a necropsy must be performed within 3 business days at the Buyer's expense to determine the cause. If it is determined to be a debilitating congenital condition, the Buyer will receive a full refund.
Failure to follow recommended medical advice or treatment will void this warranty. This warranty is valid up to one year from the puppy's birth date.
Returns/Refunds
If a licensed veterinarian deems the puppy/dog “unfit for purchase” or identifies a genetic disorder within the warranty periods, the Buyer may keep the puppy/dog and receive reimbursement for veterinary expenses related to the illness, not exceeding the purchase price.
No Other Warranties
No other warranties are made by the Seller. The puppy/dog is sold “as is,” except as specifically outlined above. The guarantee does not cover conditions like color, size, coat quality, temperament, or minor health issues common in Yorkshire Terriers.
This guarantee applies only to the original owner of the puppy/dog listed in this contract. It is non-transferable to another owner.
Disclaimer: Please note that our health guarantee applies only to Yorkshire Terrier puppies. Older puppies and retired adult dogs do not come with a health guarantee. All sales of older puppies and retired adults are final and are sold as-is.
